ASHRAE Climatic Design Information

The American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers publishes climatic design information useful for many design projects. A completely revised and updated version of this data has been published in ASHRAE's 2017 Handbook of Fundamentals. PsyCalc now contains this data as updated and printed in the 2017 ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals.

For this new set of climatic design information ASHRAE has made several changes and additions. These are discussed below very briefly. Information for Heating and Humidification design work.
Two cummulative frequency values, annual extremes and coldest month data.

Information for Cooling and Dehumidification design work.
Four sets of three cummulative frequency values, annual extremes and daily range data.

Information for designing for the affect of Wind.
Three cummulative frequency values, coincident speed and direction and coldest month data.

Historical extreme dry bulb temperatures for periods of 5, 10, 20 and 50 years.

Huge Increase in the Number of Locations.
8,118 locations are now included (a small percentage of which are incomplete).

Use the "Design Data Calculator" for a specific data set, (DB/MCWB, WB/MCDB, DP/MCDB and h/MCDB).

The information presented in these sections of PsyCalc® has been made available via a licensing agreement between ASHRAE and Linric Company. The information is intended to be used as a guide.
