Choose Defaults/Set Defaults under Edit in the menu. The Default dialog box appears.

By choosing default settings you are defining the configuration of PsyCalc each time it starts and when the Use Defaults option is selected from the Edit/Defaults menu.
Input and Output Units
PsyCalc allows you to use and display many different combinations of inputs and outputs. In the Defaults dialog box you can define which combination should be in place when PsyCalc starts. The defaults for Input and Output types are set separately. Start by selecting English or SI units under Input Values. This selection will update the available options for the actual input boxes.
Next click the down arrow next to the first input units box and select the units you wish to have as the default for the first input box on the PsyCalc screen.
Now select the units for the second input and the Air Flow Rates under Input Values. Use the same sequence to select all of the defaults under Output Values.
Under the Outputs selection area you may select Two or Four as the number of outputs to be displayed.
Spin Button Speed
PsyCalc's calculation engine is very quick and therefore the speed of the Spin buttons may nedd to be reduced. Use the slider to make adjustments. Then test the new setting using the test Spin button.
Printing
The default printing orientation for PsyCalc is landscape. In this printing mode all values can be printed on a single line. If landscape printing is not available or you preffer portrait printing click the Portrait option. In portrait mode ten values can be printed across the width of the page. You may configure which ten will be printed by clicking the "Choose Values to Print in Portrait" button to display the check list of values.

Check the ten (or less) that you wish to print and click OK.
Save Your Choices as the Defaults
Now that all the default selections have been made, click the "Set As Defaults" button. The default settings are now saved and will be in place the next time PsyCalc starts or when the Use Defaults option is selected. Click the Close button to return to the program.
If you wish to use the default setting now you may select Use Defaults under the Edit/Defaults menu option or simply press the "Ctrl" key and the "D" key.
Any of these options can be changed at any time while using of PsyCalc. The Default settings can also be changed at any time by repeating the above process.
