PsyCalc was written by Jim Judge, P.E. of Linric Company, an engineer who has worked in the HVAC industry for over
thirty years specializing in desiccant equipment and systems, design and training. Over the last several years Jim has devoted some of his efforts to developing PsyCalc as a quick, efficient tool for psychrometric property look-ups and calculations.
PsyCalc uses algorithms that are generally accepted by the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry. As such the results of these calculations should yield acceptable results for use in general HVAC work. The exactness of the calculation methods employed are not 100% over the entire range of their application and as such they can only be termed "Approximations".
Individual needs may require more rigorous calculation tools that yield a greater level of accuracy. Linric Company can not anticipate the level of accuracy required for all applications and as such must disclaim any and all responsibility for inaccuracies in the representation of psychrometric properties or other results provided by any of it's software products. It is the responsibility of the user to validate the accuracy for their purposes.
